Tata Motors has introduced a new trim in its Tiago lineup. There is no official announcement regarding the same, and Tata Motors has made this addition behind the doors. The new trim ‘XTO’ will position itself below the XT trim. And hence, XTO is now the 2nd most affordable trim in Tiago’s lineup after the base trim XE. Compared to the XT trim, this new XTO misses out on the Harman music system, AM/FM, speed-dependent volume control, USB, and Bluetooth connectivity. Tata Motors has priced the XTO trim at an ex-showroom price of INR 5,47,900, which is INR 15,000 less than the XT variant.
Tata Tiago – Engine and Mechanicals
Tata is using a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine to power the Tiago. The performance output figure of this engine stands at 85 HP of power and 113 Nm of torque. There are two transmission types on offer, a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT. Tata Motors is using an independent, lower wishbone McPherson strut setup in the front suspension. Meanwhile, the rear suspension setup uses a twist-beam with coil sprint mounted on hydraulic shock absorbers. The tire size of the Tiago varies from 14-inch to 15-inch depending upon the trim.
Tata Tiago – Features And Equipment
With the growing digitalization, cars are also getting smarter and house all the latest features, and the Tiago is also no different. The entry-level hatchback from Tata Motors gets a 7-inch infotainment system compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Andriod Auto, auto-fold and electrically adjustable ORVMs, reverse parking camera, steering mounted control, eight-speaker sound system and more. Tiago also gets a roof-mounted spoiler, a contrasting black roof, and 15-inch alloys to enhance the exterior outlooks.
