Tata Safari gets WiFi, AQI display & wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto

Tata Motors will soon be updating the flagship Safari SUV with changes to the interiors. While changes to the interiors are not likely to be cosmetic but more about the features that the brand offers. The SUV will also remain unchanged mechanically. The brand is likely to update its pricing when the updated SUV makes it to the showrooms.

Tata Safari – Interior Updates

The brand will continue with the same free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, which comes with updates to the software. The Safari will receive the latest v18 version featuring updates such as Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The new updates also include new air purification and an AQI monitor. Users can turn the air purification system on/off from the touchscreen display. However, the AQI (Air Quality Index) monitor keeps showing the cabin air quality. Apart from this, the brand is also offering a wireless charging cradle on the new Safari.

Tata Safari – Gold Edition

The new features such as the Wireless Smartphone Charging, Air Purifier, AQI monitor and Wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay were first introduced on the Gold Edition Safari in the Indian market. The Gold Edition Safari also comes with 1st and 2nd row ventilated seats and a premium colour line on the outside, the interiors and a premium #gold badge.

Tata Safari – Powertrain Specifications

Powering the Tata Safari is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel motor that pumps out 170 Hp of power and 350 Nm of torque. The engine features the option of a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed torque converter type automatic gearbox. The D8 platform is capable of a four-wheel-drive, the Tata Safari only comes with a front-wheel-drive architecture. The new Safari will not be seeing any changes to the powertrain or the running gear of the vehicle. However, the brand will make updates to the pricing and the trim line when it is launched.
