New details of the upcoming Tata Punch iCNG have leaked online. According to the leaked information, Tata will offer CNG across multiple variants and some of it will also get a sunroof.
Tata Punch iCNG : Variant Details
Following the success of the Altroz iCNG, Tata is taking a leaf out of its book and offering the same dual-cylinder tech on the Punch as well. According to a media report, the Punch CNG is ready to be dispatched to dealers.
Thanks to the dual-cylinder layout, boot space is still left for some luggage. It also looks much better than a single cylinder. Tata is likely to deploy the same 1.2-litre NA petrol engine on the CNG variants. This engine develops 87 BHP of peak power and 115 Nm of maximum torque. On CNG mode however, the numbers read as 72 BHP and 102 Nm. A 5-speed gearbox is paired with this engine.
In terms of variants, the CNG option will be offered with Pure Rhythm, Pure, Adventure, Adventure Rhythm, Accomplished and Accomplished Dazzle trims. The same strategy is used in the Altroz.
Popularity of sunroof in India
Many customers are now opting for vehicles with a sunroof. Hence Tata is also keen to offer a sunroof to its customers. All variants including Accomplished Dazzle and above will get sunroof.
Coming to the pricing, we can expect a premium of INR 1,03,000 on the CNG and an additional INR 45,000 for the sunroof. The official launch is expected in the coming days.
