Written by AnantaSaranNayak

Tata Motors India today rolled out the 1,00,000th unit of Tata Punch from its manufacturing facility in Pune, which is a remarkable achievement. The Tata Punch is now the first SUV to achieve this milestone, as claimed by Tata Motors. Moreover, Tata Motors achieved this feat in a mere span of 10 months. Punch has received an overwhelming response from customers for its stunning design, robust performance and best-in-class 5-star safety.

Emergence Of Micro SUV Segment

Tata’s Punch is the youngest member of the ‘New Forever’ range from Tata Motors. With features like a 7-inch touchscreen system, digital instrument cluster, auto AC, automatic headlights, connected car tech, and cruise control, Punch is a desirable option. Tata Punch is the perfect amalgamation of the agility of a hatch with the DNA of an SUV. With its sales figures, Punch has also consistently been a part of the top 10 highest-selling cars in India.

This achievement also speaks highly of the strong response from customers for a relatively new car. The Punch, which is based on the ALFA architecture, has successfully established its popularity in the micro SUV segment. Tata Motors talked about the four core pillars of a true SUV – Stunning Design, Versatile and Engaging Performance, Roomy and Spacious Interiors and Absolute Safety. And the Punch pretty much justifies all the above. With the current demand, Tata Motors is confident that the Punch will continue to receive love from customers.

Tata Punch – Key Highlights

Powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine, Punch comes with a certified mileage of 18.82 kmpl in Manual and 18.97 in AMT. Customers have 8 colours to choose from, this also includes dual-tone options. One key feature is the iRA-connected car technology. This offers over 25 features, making the car a complete package for its customers. Since its launch in 2021, Tata Punch has become the top choice for first-time customers. The Punch offers a wide array of options at different price points to choose from. Thus, catering to a wide spectrum of consumer needs. Tata also mentioned that the Punch sales were the highest ever in July ’22 at 11,007 units.
