Tata Nexon XM (S) – most affordable car with sunroof launched at INR 8.36 lakh

Tata Motors India has added a new variant trim for the Tata Nexon which boasts to be the most affordable Electric Sunroof vehicle in India, launched at the price of INR 8.36 lakh ex-showroom. The new variant trim is called XM (S) and is available in both petrol and diesel options with a manual gearbox as well as the XMA (S) AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) automatic option. 

Tata Motors is offering the new XM (S) trim with features such as Electric Sunroof, Automatic Headlamps, Rain Sensing Wipers and Steering Mounted Controls in addition to highlights offered on the XM trim such as Projector Headlights, LED daytime running lights, ConnectNext Infotainment System by Harman and safety features such as dual front airbags, Hill Hold Control, Electronic Stability Program and Multi- Drive Modes (Eco, City and Sport).

On the outside, the Tata Nexon XM (S) retains its design and styling and comes with piano black radiator grille, tri-arrow design on the front air dam, muscular wheel arches, piano black ORVMs, steel wheels with covers, combination tail lights with LED lighting, ivory white window belt line, and a regular roof-mounted radio antenna with GPS in place of a shark fin unit. 

The Tata Nexon continues to be powered by a BS6 emission compliant 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbocharged Revotron petrol engine that produces 120 PS of power and 170 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed manual transmission and an option of a 6-speed AMT gearbox. The Nexon also comes with a diesel motor, a BS6 compliant 1.5-litre turbocharged Revotorq diesel engine that produces 110 PS of power and 260 Nm of torque available in a 6-speed manual as well as a 6-speed AMT transmission

The Tata Nexon XM (S) at the starting price of INR 8.36 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi), is the most affordable vehicle across segments with these feature in the Indian market. The Tata Nexon is positioned in the highly contested mid-size SUV segment and competes with the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Kia Seltos, Mahindra XUV300 and the Ford EcoSport.
