Tata Motors announced that all of its passenger vehicles, including electric cars (EVs), would see price a price hike of up to 3%. Tata Motors stated that the recent price increase was made in part to counteract inflation and rising input prices, and this will come into effect on January 1, 2025.
Tata Motors price hike:
With starting prices of INR 8.00 lakh and INR 6.13 lakh (both ex-showroom), respectively, the Nexon and Punch are now Tata Motors’ most popular vehicles in the passenger vehicle segment. Following the most recent price increase, the base versions of the Nexon and Punch might cost up to INR 8.24 lakh and INR 6.31 lakh, respectively.
In 2025, Tata Motors is anticipated to have a highly active year with several launches. This comprises the Sierra EV and Sierra ICE in the second part of the year and the Harrier EV in the early half.
Tata Nexon comes with a 1497cc turbocharged diesel engine that generates 113bhp of power and 260 Nm of torque. It has a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed AMT transmission. It offers riding modes like Eco, City and Sport.
Tata Punch has an 1199 cc 1.2-litre petrol engine that produces 87 bhp of power and 115 Nm of torque. It has a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT transmission. It also has the same riding modes like Nexon which are Eco, City and Sport.

Tata Motors, Ducati India and BMW India have also announced price hikes for the coming new year. Yesterday, Tata Motors announced a price hike of 3% on all of its passenger cars, including Electric vehicles. Ducati India also announced price hike on their several motorcycle models which will be in effect from January 1, 2025. Following the BMW India who also declared price hike of up to 3% starting on January 1, 2025.
