Tata Motors sold 2,43,459 cars in Q4 FY22

Indian automotive manufacturer Tata Motor has officially declared its annual sales report for Q4 in the month of March 2022. Showcasing its overall global performance for FY22, Tata Motors registered a total sales of 2,43,459 vehicles. This entails an overall growth of 27% compared to Q4 FY21, as it sold 1,91,373 vehicles in total. Overall, the automaker is actively working on expanding its portfolio and retailers across segments whilst catering to all Indian customers.

Tata Motors’ Sales Report for Q4 FY22 

Based on its annual sales report, Tata Motors sold a total of 86,718 vehicles domestically, marking a 30% Y-o-Y growth. For comparison, the carmaker sold a total of 66,462 vehicles in the domestic market during March 2021. Meanwhile, in Q4 FY22, Tata Motors sold 2,33,078 vehicles domestically compared to 1,82,477 vehicles last year. Overall, this marks a 28% increase in growth during Q4 FY22 compared to Q4 FY21.

Therefore, Tata Motors sold 6,92,554 vehicles domestically in FY22 compared to 4,64,062 vehicles in FY21. This marks a 49% increase in the overall domestic sales growth for the automaker in FY22. The sales report also goes on to showcase the total sales of the automaker’s commercial vehicles across four segments. Therefore, the total CV domestic sales for March 2022 are 44,425 vehicles in comparison to March 2021.

In terms of exports, the automaker sold 2,625 units in March 2022 compared to 3,654 units in March 2021. Therefore, this marks a 28% decrease in growth for the automaker in terms of exports to the global market. Domestic sales of MH&ICV in Q4 2022, including trucks and buses, stood at 38,770 units, compared to 32,072 units in Q4 2021. Additionally, total sales for MH&ICV Domestic and International Business in Q4 2022, including trucks and buses, stood at 52,976 units.
