Tata Harrier EV QWD complete details

The electric Harrier SUV was recently launched in India in six variants. It is being offered in two battery pack options: a 65 kWh and a 75 kWh, along with the choice of an all-wheel drive.

The price of the top-spec QWD, aka AWD, variant of the Harrier EV has been announced at Rs 28.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the initial batch of customers. The introductory price of the Harrier EV is set to be raised in the future.

Speaking of the details, the top-spec QWD variant is powered by the 75 kWh battery pack, which is mated to a dual electric motor combination, each present on both axles. The front motor develops 156 bhp, while the rear motor develops 235 bhp, along with 504 Nm of peak torque.

The MIDC-claimed range of the Harrier EV QWD is 622 km, while the C75 real-world range is believed to be between 460 km and 490 km.

Apart from the power/torque and range figures, the Harrier EV QWD also exclusively features the Boost Mode, Off-Road Assist, and 6 Terrain Modes: Normal/Grass, Mud-Ruts, Sand, Rock, Crawl, and Custom.

For comfort, convenience, and safety, the new Harrier EV QWD is equipped with the Level 2 ADAS, panoramic sunroof, transparent bonnet view, a 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats, comfort rear headrests, and more.

Our verdict

The new Harrier EV competes with the Mahindra XEV 9e, which gets a smaller battery pack as compared to the Harrier Electric. Moreover, the QWD capability and the feature list of the Harrier EV make it the flagship Tata model currently. However, the pricing of the QWD version is steep, and it is set to rise in the future.
