Tata Motors has officially launched the all-electric Harrier.ev in India, priced at INR 21.49 lakh (ex-showroom, introductory). This marks the brand’s foray into the high-voltage EV SUV space, with bookings opening in the second half of June. The price is for the base Empowered variant.
Powertrain and range
At the heart of the Harrier.ev is a 75 kWh battery pack, paired with a dual-motor setup. The front axle uses a high-performance induction motor, while the rear gets a permanent magnet synchronous motor. Combined, they generate 396 PS and 504 Nm of torque. The SUV offers AWD as standard in top variants and claims a certified range of 622 km (MIDC cycle). The CM75 range is said to be between 475 km to 520 km. The base variants will get a 65 kWh battery pack with a single-motor setup for extended range.
The Harrier.ev supports fast charging with a 120 kW DC charger that juices the battery from 20 to 80 percent in just 25 minutes. Home charging takes around 10.7 hours using a 7.2 kW AC wall box.
Tata Harrier.ev Tech, features, and cabin
The cabin experience leans heavily into premium territory. There’s a new 14.5-inch touchscreen from Harman and powered by Samsung QLED tech. The driver gets a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster with turn-by-turn navigation, and a 10-speaker JBL audio system. Other highlights include a panoramic sunroof, a 6-way powered driver’s seat with ventilation and memory, wireless charging, and dual-zone climate control.
The Harrier.ev also gets Tata’s new Arcade.ev suite with built-in video streaming apps and voice-enabled functions. On the safety front, there’s ADAS with adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, blind spot detection, and more. It also comes with six airbags, ESP, hill-hold assist, and a 360-degree camera with blind view monitoring.
Bi-directional charging and drive Modes
The Harrier.ev gets Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) bi-directional charging tech. There are four drive modes—Eco, City, Sport, and Boost—and six terrain modes including Snow, Mud-Ruts, and Rock Crawl. You also get adjustable regen with paddle shifters and a single-pedal drive mode for added convenience.
Tata Harrier.ev Dimensions and road presence
Dimensionally, the Harrier.ev measures 4607 mm in length and has a 2741 mm wheelbase. It has a water-wading capacity of 600 mm and offers 502 litres of boot space, plus a 35-litre frunk. It sits on 19-inch aero alloy wheels with low rolling resistance tyres. The wheels are equipped with rim sensors to avoid rim scrapping while parking.
Competitors
The Harrier.ev enters a space that will soon see competition from the Hyundai Creta EV and the Mahindra XEV 9e.
