Tata Harrier EV launch on June 3 – What to expect?

Tata Motors showcased a couple of interesting products earlier this year at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. However, it was the Harrier EV that was close to launch and attracted numerous queries.

Now, the brand has announced the official launch date of the Harrier EV, i.e. June 3. It will not only become the flagship electric car for Tata, but also the first-ever Tata to offer an AWD system.

The Harrier EV is based on an updated Gen 2 platform, which not only accommodates the AWD system but also increases the efficiency of the EV powertrain.

Tata Harrier EV

While the exact details about the battery and electric motor setup are unknown, it is rumoured that the Harrier EV will offer more than 500 km range and 500 Nm of peak torque.

In terms of design, Tata has tried to keep it as conventional as it can be. However, it does feature the EV’s distinctive design traits like the closed front grille, aerodynamic wheels, and revised bumpers for better efficiency.

On the inside, it will likely offer a light colour theme for the cabin and the advanced touchscreen infotainment software for a better user experience.

More details will be revealed on the launch day itself. In terms of pricing, we expect a ballpark of Rs 25 lakh to Rs 30 lakh. The primary rival of the Harrier EV will be the Mahindra BE 6e, which itself is selling like a hot cake.

Our verdict

The Harrier EV is a much-awaited product in the EV market, as it is likely to offer a good range and an aggressive price tag. However, Tata is also working on the Safari EV and the Sierra EV, which are scheduled to be launched strategically by mid-2026.
