Tata Harrier EV Dark Edition: What to expect?

The Dark Edition cars of Tata have been a superhit, including models like Harrier and Safari. Hence, the company has decided to launch a similar version of the newly launched Harrier EV soon.

Believed to be in the works already, the upcoming Harrier EV Dark Edition will feature cosmetic changes only. It will be based on the top-spec variants, including the Fearless+ and Empowered.

The exteriors will feature a gloss black paint, which will be matched with the dark gloss black accents, including the front grille, door handles, door beadings, ORVMs, alloy wheels, and the fog lamp housing.

Similarly, on the inside, it will offer a blacked-out leather cabin with gloss piano black highlights on the dashboard, centre console, and door panels.

Besides the blacked-out treatment, the Harrier EV Dark Edition will be unchanged from the standard Harrier EV. It will be offered with the two battery variants: 65 kWh and 75 kWh.

Tata offers the Harrier EV in two drivetrain options: RWD and QWD (all-wheel drive). Both options will be offered on the Harrier EV Dark Edition as well.

As far as the launch timeline is expected, Tata will debut the special edition car by the end of this year. Prices will be at least Rs 40,000 higher than the standard Harrier EV.

Our verdict

The demand for black edition SUV cars in India is all-time high. The Dark Edition trend was started by Tata, and now other manufacturers are also following it. The Harrier EV Dark Edition will certainly command more attention from buyers.
