Based on the top XZ trim, Tata Motors has revealed that the Harrier Dark Edition comes with a total of 14 design changes. The Harrier is the brands most talked about SUV and this Dark Edition has been priced at INR 16.76 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. The Tata Harrier is a 5-seater SUV, and a 7-seated version dubbed as the Buzzard is already in final stages of testing. Pricing for the Tata Harrier range starts from INR 12.99 lakh.

Tata Motors has managed to deliver the Harrier to more than 10,000 customers in India and for a car, the Harrier has quite some patriotic fanboys. Tata Harrier rivals the likes of MG Hector and Kia Seltos in the 5-seater SUV segment. This launch has happened to generate incremental sales during the festive season.

Changes on the 2019 Tata Harrier Dark Edition include new atlas black body colour, R17 Blackstone alloy wheels, Benecke Kaliko leather upholstery, Blackstone matrix dashboard trim, grey chrome pack and more (the brand hasn’t highlighted all 14 changes). One has to agree, that in this dark theme, the Tata Harrier does look good and is probably the best-looking Tata product till date. With all black exterior and interior, the Tata Harrier tries to look more premium and attract more buyers. It is unclear if this is a limited edition version of the Harrier SUV.

Built on the OMEGARC platform, which is a cheap derivative of the Land Rover D8 platform the Harrier is powered by a 2.0L, Kryotec diesel engine. This motor is also seen on the Jeep Compass but on the Harrier, it produces a modest 140 PS of power @ 3750 RPM and 350 Nm of torque @ 1750-2500 RPM matched to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Tata Motors is now working on a BSVI version of this motor and also developing an automatic gearbox.
