Tata Group is said to have partnered with Tesla to provide EV parts for its global supply chain. This will be a big feat for Tata as Tesla is also planning to debut in India soon. Read more details below.

Tata Group and Tesla tie-up details

As shared in a recent online report, Tata officials are believed to have established a successful pact with Tesla to provide different EV parts for its product lineup internationally.

While Tesla is working on establishing a local supplier base to enter the Indian market, Tata has reportedly conducted meetings with its suppliers to discuss the EV components for Tesla.

As per the report, Tata is in talks with its subsidiary partners and vendors to cast and craft the casings, forging, electronics, and fabrication items that will be supplied to Tesla in the future.

The report also claims that different Tata Group companies, such as the Tata Consultancy Services, Tata Technologies, Tata Electronics, and Tata AutoComp, are going to be the crucial part of this tie-up.

Meanwhile, Tesla is in talks with different state governments to set up its manufacturing plant in India. The primary states on which Tesla is eyeing, include Rajasthan, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, and Telangana.

This joint venture is yet to be announced officially but it is mostly approved internally. With this move, Tata will gain a huge advancement for its future EVs as the pact will open gates for sharing EV technology with Tesla.

The EV market in India is going to be very competitive in the next few years. On one side, worldwide renowned manufacturer Tesla is planning to sell its products in India, while on the other side new EV makers like Vinfast are scheduled to debut soon.
