Tata Motors has officially launched the 2025 Altroz facelift, bringing a fresh design, upgraded features, and new transmission options to its premium hatchback lineup. The Altroz now starts at INR 6.89 lakh (ex-showroom, India), making it a strong contender against the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai i20, and Toyota Glanza2.
Design and Exterior Updates
The 2025 Altroz gets a bold new front fascia, featuring a 3D-style grille, split LED headlamps, and integrated DRLs. Tata has introduced flush door handles, a first-in-segment feature, improving aerodynamics and enhancing the car’s premium appeal.
At the rear, the hatchback sports connected LED tail lamps, a redesigned bumper, and new alloy wheels, giving it a sleeker and more aggressive stance.
Interior and Feature Upgrades
Inside, the Altroz facelift boasts a dual-tone dashboard with soft-touch materials, creating a plush cabin experience. The highlight is the twin 10.25-inch digital cockpit, which includes:
- A touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
- A fully digital instrument cluster with navigation and blind-spot monitoring.
- Ambient lighting, a wireless phone charger, and four fast-charging Type-C ports.
Other premium features include automatic climate control, a 360-degree camera, and an air purifier, ensuring a comfortable and tech-rich driving experience.
Powertrain and Transmission Options
The Altroz facelift is available with three powertrain options:
- 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol (87 bhp, 115 Nm) – Available with 5-speed manual, 6-speed DCT, and new 5-speed AMT.
- 1.5L diesel (89 bhp, 200 Nm) – Offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
- 1.2L CNG (72 bhp, 103 Nm) – Comes with a 5-speed manual transmission2.
Safety and Technology
Tata Motors has packed the Altroz facelift with six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), ISOFIX child seat anchorages, and a blind-spot monitor. The hatchback also features emergency SOS calling and express cooling, making it one of the safest cars in its segment.
Market Position and Pricing
The 2025 Altroz facelift is available in four variants:
- Smart – INR 6.89 lakh
- Pure – INR 7.69 lakh
- Creative – INR 8.69 lakh
- Accomplished S – INR 9.99 lakh
Tata Motors has confirmed that bookings will open on June 2, 2025, with deliveries expected to begin later in the month.
