Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has taken a bold step in its electric mobility journey by inaugurating its first-ever EV Concept Store in India. Located at Mantri Square Mall, Malleshwaram, Bengaluru, the store offers a futuristic and immersive experience into Honda’s world of innovation, mobility, and sustainability. Coinciding with the launch, Honda also introduced a new BaaS (Battery-as-a-Service) Lite Plan for its electric scooter, the Activa e:. Priced at just INR 678 per month, the plan is designed for users with lower daily travel needs, making EV ownership more accessible than ever before. Inside the EV Concept Store: Innovation on display The EV Concept Store is more than just a showroom—it’s a tech playground. At its heart is a main LED display that showcases Honda’s electrification journey through interactive content and brand storytelling. Key zones include: Product Display Zone: Featuring the Activa e: and QC1 scooters. Safe Tech Zone: Demonstrating core components like the PMS motor, charger, and Honda’s Power Pack Exchanger e: battery swapping system. Kids Interaction Zone: Designed to engage younger visitors. Global Innovation Corner: Showcasing the Honda Jet, eGX electric go-kart, and the Moto Compacto—a 19 kg foldable e-scooter with a 20 km range. Honda Activa e: and the new BaaS Lite Plan The Activa e: is powered by two 1.5 kWh swappable batteries, offering a claimed IDC range of 102 km. Unlike most EVs, it relies solely on battery swapping, with no home or DC charging option. Honda’s new BaaS Lite Plan offers: 20kWh/month usage for INR 678 (excluding GST) Equivalent to 600 km/month at 30 km/kWh Additional usage billed at INR 70 per kWh This plan joins the existing: Basic Plan: INR 1,999/month for 35kWh Advance Plan: INR 3,599/month for 87kWh Battery swaps are facilitated through Honda’s Power Pack Energy India network, currently operational in Bengaluru.
