Suzuki showcased the V-Strom 650 XT motorcycle in the Indian market during the Auto Expo 2018. The brand is now planning to launch the motorcycle around July 2018 according to sources online. Suzuki recently launched the GSX-S750 naked sportsbike in the market, and the V-Strom 650 XT will be their first adventure tourer offering in India.

When launched, the Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT will be a rival to the likes of Kawasaki Versys 650. However, the Suzuki model will be a bit expensive, but will justify the premium with the equipment on offer more suitable for tackling rough roads. The Kawasaki Versys 650 is more of a road-biased touring machine.

Powering the Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT will be a 645cc, V-Twin, liquid-cooled motor producing 71 HP of power and 62 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox. The V-Strom will also come with traction control, ABS, jeight adjustable windscreen & Easy Start System.

Suzuki is planning to locally assembled the V-Strom 650 XT here in India. This will be the 3rd such product from the Japanese manufacturer in our market. The bike will be running on spoked rims, Bridgestone Battlax Adventure tyres, rear monoshock and telescopic front fork. The V-Strom 650 XT has a seat height of 835mm.

So, roughly INR 7 – 7.5 lakh is the estimated pricing.
