Suzuki to soon launch CKD assembled GSX-S750 superbike in India

Written by Parichay Malvankar

Suzuki is slowly taking the premium motorcycle segment seriously in the Indian market. While there is nothing revolutionary coming to our shores, the brand is not bringing in a super-naked, and will also locally assemble it to keep pricing under check. At the Auto Expo 2018, Suzuki showcased the GSX-S750 which will arrive in India via the CKD route.

When launched, the Suzuki GSX-S750 will rival the likes of Triumph Street Triple & Kawasaki Z900.

Powering the GSX-S750 is a 749cc, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, 4-cylinder, DOHC motor producing 110 BHP of power and 81 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox.

There is nothing much to harp about. The bike will come with USD front fork, rear monoshock, sharp edgy styling, split seats, full size exhaust, LED headlamp & tail lamp, digital instrument console, alloy wheels, and has a kerb weight of 211 kg.

Considering competition, and the fact that this bike is going to be a locally built unit, we’re expecting a price tag of close to INR 7.5 lakh ex-showroom for the GSX-S750.
