Suzuki sold 97,936 two-wheelers in September 2023

Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL) has disclosed its sales data for September 2023, revealing significant achievements in the Indian market. During this period, the company reported total sales of 97,936 units, marking a notable year-over-year growth rate of 13 per cent when compared to September 2022. However, in a month-over-month comparison with August 2023, Suzuki experienced a slight decline in sales, amounting to 5.2 per cent.

Domestic Market Sales

Within the domestic market, SMIPL reported impressive domestic sales of 83,798 units, showcasing a substantial 16 per cent growth when juxtaposed with the corresponding period in the previous year. The remaining sales were attributed to exports.

Suzuki Motorcycle India And The Road Ahead

Suzuki Motorcycle India, the two-wheeler subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, has celebrated a significant milestone by producing its 7 millionth unit at the Kherki Dhaula plant in Gurugram.

The 7 millionth unit is a Suzuki V-Strom SX, distinguished by its Champion Yellow No. 2 colour. In the financial year ending March 2023, Suzuki achieved a record sale of 9.38 lakh units and year-on-year growth of 24.3 per cent as compared to FY 2021-22.

Suzuki Motorcycle India offers a diverse product range in the Indian market, including models like V-Strom SX, Gixxer SF 250, Gixxer 250, Gixxer SF, Gixxer, Access 125, Avenis, Burgman Street, and Burgman Street EX as part of its domestic product portfolio. Additionally, they feature premium offerings like the Suzuki Hayabusa, V-Strom 650XT, and Katana in their big bike product portfolio.
