Suzuki sold 86,750 two-wheelers in September 2022

Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL), the two-wheeler subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, has released its September 2022 sales figure. The company recorded overall sales of 86,750 units in September 2022. This translates to a year-on-year sales growth of 27.6 per cent as compared to September 2021.

The company sold 72,012 units in the domestic market, whereas, for exports, the figure stood at 14,738 units for the given period. This is the highest ever overall monthly as well as domestic monthly sales figure recorded by SMIPL since its inception in 2006. Cumulatively, Suzuki Motorcycle India sold 4,54,070 units from April 2022 to September 2022, recording 25.7 per cent growth as compared to the same period last year. With the growing sales figure, Suzuki is becoming more and more visible to the customers. Thus, it is equally important for the brand to maintain relationships with the customers and win their trust.

Suzuki Ever Popular In The Indian Domestic Market

Suzuki mentioned that despite some supply constraints, this highest-ever monthly figure is a testimony to the increasing acceptance of Suzuki’s two-wheeler products. With the country’s festive season in full swing, Suzuki expects further improvement in customer sentiment. In addition to this, the company is also anticipating a gradual streamlining of the supply chain. Thus the company remains positive and looks forward to the auspicious festivities in October to continue this sales momentum.

Suzuki To Set Up A New Manufacturing Plant

Suzuki was offered a special incentive package from the Haryana government. Under this, the company plans to set up a new facility in IMT Kharkhoda in the Sonipat district. Under this incentive package, Suzuki will aim to create more jobs in the region. The new facility will most likely generate employment for around 2,000 people in the state. As per sources, this new Suzuki Motorcycles facility will be set up in the state at an investment of INR 2,000 crore.
