Suzuki sold 76,230 two-wheelers in July 2022

Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL) had an overall sales of 76,230 units in July 2022. This results in a year-on-year sales growth of 4.3 per cent as compared to July 2021. The company sold 60,892 units in the Indian domestic market. Meanwhile, Suzuki exported 15,338 units for the international market in July 2022. Just to mention, this month also saw Suzuki Motorcycle India starting the deliveries of its recently introduced Katana. In July 2022, Suzuki recorded 76,230 unit sales, which indicates an increasing demand for Suzuki two-wheeler products in India and overseas. Now with the gradual improvement in the supply chain, Suzuki is expecting to keep witnessing this sales momentum in future too. With the upcoming festive season, Suzuki will expect its sales to grow even more.

Suzuki Katana – Key Highlights

The iconic motorcycle from Suzuki was long awaited for the Indian market. Now that it has arrived, the motorcycle has received an overwhelmingly positive response. Suzuki has put on a sticker price of INR 3,61,000 ex-showroom. Customers get two colour options to choose from, Metallic Matt Stellar Blue and Metallic Mystic Silver. The New Katana is now available across all Suzuki’s Bike Zone dealerships. Customers can visit these outlets to test ride and experience the motorcycle.

Powering the motorcycle is a 999cc liquid-cooled inline-four cylinder engine. The performance out of the motor reads as 152 PS of power at 11,000 rpm and a torque of 106 Nm at 9,250 rpm. This is also the same motor that powers the GSX-S1000. Leveraging the Ride-by-wire Electronic Throttle System, the motorcycle is quite exciting to ride with added new electronic control systems. This includes Low RPM Assist and Suzuki Easy Start System. Other rider aids include Suzuki Traction Control System (STCS) and Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS). The equipped traction control system offers 5 levels of adjustability. Meanwhile, the mode selector offers three different modes.
