Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched the new V-Strom 800DE in the Indian market at the price of INR 10.30 lakh ex-showroom. The brand has announced that the bookings for the Suzuki V-Strom 800DE is now open in India at the limited period introductory price. The new Suzuki V-Strom 800DE will be available in three colour options – Champion Yellow No. 2, Glass Matte Mechanical Grey and Glass Sparkle Black.
Suzuki V-Strom 800DE – “Adventure is its Purpose”

riding experience. The V-Strom 800DE also claims to offer the ‘best in class’ touring experiences to enthusiasts across the country.
Suzuki V-Strom 800DE – Engine “Feels Like a V-Twin”
The Suzuki V-Strom 800DE features a new 776cc parallel-twin cylinder liquid-cooled engine. The DOHC 4-valve-per-cylinder powertrain comes with a 270-degree crankshaft. In addition to this, the engine also comes with Suzuki’s patented ‘Suzuki Cross Balancer’. It is the first biaxial primary balancer on a production motorcycle with a 90-degree mechanism that reduces vibrations.
The engine is also lighter and compact from front to rear thanks to the latest technologies that the brand uses. Together with the 270-degree crank angle, the 90-degree cross balancer and a 2-into-1 exhaust system with dual-stage catalytic converter the engine offers the power, torque and smoothness similar to a V-Twin engine.
The Suzuki V-Strom 800DE produces 83 Bhp of power and 78 Nm of torque. The engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox and comes with Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS) for shooter shifting and reduced rider fatigue.
Suzuki V-Strom 800DE – Chassis, Suspension and Brakes
The Suzuki V-Strom 800DE rides on Hitachi Astemo (SHOWA) inverted front forks with 220 mm wheel travel. The front suspension comes with spring preload and compression/rebound damping adjustment. The rider can set the suspension according to their preference and usage conditions to get a smooth and controllable ride. The rear suspension, Hitachi Astemo (SHOWA) mono-shock also comes with adjustable spring preload, offering adjustability when riding tandem or carrying loads.
The Suzuki V-Strom 800DE comes with features such as highly rigid new steel frame. The new frame is designed to offer all the strength required on tough trails as well as highway speeds when touring for long distances. The seat rails feature also allows riders better control on the bike thanks to the motorcycle’s slim profile. The motorcycle also comes with a generous 220mm of ground clearance which is the tallest among V-Strom models. Suzuki offers twin 310mm front disc brakes with Two-Mode Antilock Braking System (ABS).
Suzuki V-Strom 800DE – Electronic Features
The Suzuki V-Strom 800 DE comes with a 5-inch colour TFT LCD multi-information screen with night and day modes. The motorcycle also comes with a USB port in the left side of the meter cluster to keep electronics devices charged on the go. The V-Strom 800DE also gets a vertically stacked pair of distinctive hexagonal LED headlights. The bike also features LED position lighting, taillight and turn signals ensuring visibility.
In addition to this, the Suzuki V-Strom 800DE also comes with features such as Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S). Thanks to S.I.R.S the rider can customize settings according to their skill level and riding conditions. The intelligent system also offers controllability, predictability, and overall ease of operation on the motorcycle.

- Suzuki Traction Control System (STSC) with the introductory G (Gravel) mode
- Ride-by-Wire Electronic Throttle System
- Bi-directional Quick Shift System (with ON/OFF settings)

- Low RPM Assist.
Suzuki V-Strom 800DE – Other Features
Suzuki also offers the V-Strom 800DE with features such as a short windscreen with 3-step height adjustment for better visibility. Furthermore, the bike also comes with wide tapered handlebars that offer better control and shock absorption on trails. The V-Strom 800DE also comes with a solid mount seat offering freedom of movement for the rider and solid grab bars on each side offering a firm grip for the rear passenger. The grab rails are also integrated with the rear carrier and allow mounting of optional top cases which are available as genuine accessories.
