Suzuki launches E20 compliant V-Strom SX, Gixxer 250 series & Burgman Street EX

Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. has announced the launch of E20-compliant motorcycles. These include the V-Strom SX, Gixxer 250 and the Burgman Street EX scooter. Apart from these, the other domestic products will also be able to handle their fuel with upto 20 percent ethanol blend. Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. is the subsidiary of the Japanese Suzuki Motor Corporation.

E20 complaint Suzuki bikes in India

Suzuki currently has Gixxer, Access 125, Avenis and Burgman Street on sale. All these are E20 compliant and already available across the Suzuki dealerships pan India. Now, from the third week of June, the bikemaker will also be dispatching E20 compliant V-Strom SX, Gixxer 250 series and Burgman Street EX. These two-wheelers will join the aforementioned ones in the E20 compliant range. Further, all these vehicles meet the newest emission norms.

Government’s target of E20 compliance

The Government of India wants to implement E20 blend across the nation. This move is seen as a way to not only reduce the oil import bill but also promote the local industry to manufacture ethanol. Suzuki has now managed to get E20 compliant products ahead of the target date. This also aligns with Suzuki’s goal of manufacturing vehicles that work towards sustainability and at the same time offer a much better riding experience as well.

Suzuki Motorcycle India : More Details

As mentioned earlier, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. is a fully-owned subsidiary of Suzuki Japan. Hence both of them share the same manufacturing ethics which include development of superior products right from the development stage. To this end, Suzuki India has been catering to the Indian market by delivering products tailor-made for local consumption. The bike maker commenced Indian operations in February 2006.

In other news Suzuki has posted a 23.3% year-on year growth for the month of April. According to the bike maker, 88,731 units have been manufactured in the 2-wheeler segment. Amongst these, the sales to the domestic market make up 67,259 units while the exports stand at 21,472 units.
