Suzuki launches 250cc V-Strom SX in India at INR 2,11,600

Suzuki has just launched the all-new V-Strom SX in the Indian market with a starting price tag of INR 2.11 lakh ex-showroom. The Suzuki V-Strom SX is the Japanese brand’s smallest sports adventure touring motorcycle and comes with a quarter-litre engine. This also marks the brand’s entry into the 250cc adventure touring segment in the Indian market. The bookings for the Suzuki V-Strom SX are now open, and the adventure motorcycle is available in three colours – Champion Yellow No.2, Pearl Blaze Orange and Glass Sparkle Black.

2022 Suzuki V-Strom SX – Design Highlights

The Suzuki V-Strom SX comes with the “Master of all Adventures” tagline offering an entry-level yet capable ADV motorcycle. Suzuki will be using the “Toughness in a Slender Shell” design language which personifies toughness from its rugged, adventure-inspired looks. The bike draws its design inspiration from the legendary DR-Z racer and DR- BIG off-road models.

Thanks to this, the V-Strom SX features a sports adventure tourer beak and a tall touring visor. The motorcycle also comes with stylish LED Octagonal shaped headlights and LED taillights. The bike features a chiselled fuel tank that integrates the fuel tank extension and the front beak. The bike also comes with split seats and a pillion grab rail integrated with a top rack.

2022 Suzuki V-Strom SX – Powertrain

Powering the Suzuki V-Strom SX is a 249cc, 4-stroke single-cylinder SOHC engine with an oil cooler. The SOCS (Suzuki Oil Cooling System), which made its debut on the Suzuki Gixxer 250 and Gixxer 250 SF, has also been applied to the V-Strom SX. The Suzuki Oil Cooling System circulates engine oil around the motor and the cylinder head, cooling the engine similar to a water-cooled engine, also while keeping the weight in check.

The V-Strom SX produces 26.5 PS of power and 22.2 Nm of torque paired to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine also uses technology borrowed from MotoGP to develop the valves, shim type roller rocker arms, retainers and piston. Thanks to this, the motorcycle can handle the stresses of both city rides and highway cruising. The Suzuki V-Strom SX also comes with a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel. The bike also gets a high ground clearance and commanding seating position.

2022 Suzuki V-Strom SX – Top Features

The Suzuki V-Strom SX comes with features such as LED headlamps and taillamps, Suzuki Easy Start System, Suzuki Ride Connect and a USB outlet. The bike also comes with Bluetooth enabled digital console also offers features such as turn-by-turn navigation, incoming calls, SMS alert and WhatsApp alerts. The bike also features speed exceeding warning, phone battery level display and the estimated time of arrival.
