Suzuki Gixxer with ABS launched for INR 87,250

Suzuki has launched their popular Gixxer motorcycle now equipped with ABS. While the fully faired Gixxer SF came with this safety feature since a long time, the naked sibling is now offering the same. Suzuki has priced the Gixxer ABS at INR 87,250 onwards (ex-showroom).

The Gixxer has been quite a popular motorcycle in the 150cc category. With a smooth engine, decent power, balanced dynamics and good looks, the bike has managed to carve itself a decent space in the premium commuter market. The ABS unit on the Gixxer is a single-channel device. This means that you get ABS only on the front wheel and not for the rear wheel. Thanks to ABS, when you hit the front brake hard, the bike will come to a stop without locking the wheel, hence maintaining a safe balance.

Powering the Suzuki Gixxer is a 154.9cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled petrol motor producing 14.8 PS of power and 14 Nm of torque matched to a 5-speed gearbox. Fuel efficiency is in the range of 50 kmpl real time.

In terms of features, the bike gets AHO, LED tail lamps, digital speedometer, wide tyres, rear disc brake as optional, and a single piece contoured seat. The new motorcycle will be available in 3 colours – Blue + Black, Red + Silver and Black.
