Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. has launched the Gixxer SF MotoGP edition at a price of INR 1,10,605 ex-showroom, Delhi. For reference, the standard edition Suzuki Gixxer SF is priced at INR 1,09,870 ex-showroom Delhi.
The MotoGP edition theme was earlier launched in the 2015 model year Gixxer SF and the MotoGP race livery has captivated many riders and boosted sales for the company. The new race livery on the 2019 Gixxer SF is inspired from the Suzuki GSX-RR MotoGP racing bike and the livery contains the Suzuki Racing Blue colour which enhances the bike’s edges and hints towards the brand’s racing genes.
In the engine department, the Suzuki Gixxer SF remains to be powered by the same 155cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled, SOHC engine with SEP (Suzuki Eco Performance) that develops 14.1 PS of power and 14 Nm of torque coupled to a 5-speed gearbox.
Other mechanical hardware will also remain the same such as the telescopic front suspension, the monoshock on the rear and hydraulically operated disc brakes on both front and rear equipped with ABS for safety.
Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. is also planning to launch the Gixxer SF 250 MotoGP edition in the month of August 2019. The Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 powered by a 249cc single-cylinder, 4-stroke with SOCS (Suzuki Oil-Cooling System) fuel-injected SOHC engine that develops 26.5 PS of power and 22.6 Nm of torque paired to a 6-speed transmission.
