Suzuki Motorcycle India has unveiled its first electric scooter for the Indian market, the e-Access, at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The e-Access is designed to offer a practical solution for urban commuters with its 95 km range on a single charge.
Motor, Battery and Features
The e-Access features a 3.07 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery that powers a 4.1 kW electric motor, enabling the scooter to reach a top speed of 71 km/h. Suzuki claims that the battery can be fully charged in 6 hours and 42 minutes using a standard charger, while a fast charger reduces the charging time to 2 hours and 12 minutes.
The scooter comes with three riding modes – Eco, Ride A, and Ride B – and a reverse mode for added convenience. It also includes modern connectivity features like a TFT LCD screen and smartphone integration through the Suzuki Ride Connect-E app.
Suzuki e-Access Design and Colours
In terms of design, the e-Access borrows elements from its petrol counterpart, the Access 125, but with a distinct look featuring sharp lines, a pointy front fairing, and a vertical LED DRL. The scooter will be available in three dual-tone color options: Metallic Mat Black No.2/Metallic Mat Bordeaux Red, Pearl Grace White/Metallic Mat Fibroin Gray, and Pearl Jade Green/Metallic Mat Fibroin Gray.
Suzuki has not yet announced the launch timeline or pricing for the e-Access, but the company emphasized its commitment to sustainable mobility and the Indian market’s significance for growth.
The Suzuki e-Access will face stiff competition in the electric scooter market with the likes of the Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube, Ather Rizta, River Indie, and Ola S1 series. Honda and Hero MotoCorp. Honda has already launched the Activa e, which boasts a 102 km range and swappable battery technology. Hero MotoCorp is also gearing up to enter the electric scooter segment with its upcoming models, promising competitive features and pricing.
