Stinger concept SUV & 6 new electric vehicles from Mahindra coming to Auto Expo 2018

With almost every brand coming up with an SUV in the Indian market, Mahindra is facing a tough time to hold its position in our market as a top utility vehicle manufacturer. At the upcoming Auto Expo 2018, Mahindra is planning a product offensive, however, most of it will again be in concept stage.

Mahindra has confirmed that the brand will reveal an all-new global SUV (mostly the SsangYong Rexton with Mahindra badging), a new Stinger SUV concept (which could be a convertible) and we also expect jazzed up versions of their current product portfolio.

Mahindra will also display a total of 6 new electric vehicles, 2 of which will be new futuristic concepts. Mahindra will also showcase new electric architecture & mobility platform.

After the launch of the Jeep Compass, the Mahindra XUV500 has been facing the heat in the SUV segment. And lower down the food chain, SUVs like Scorpio, TUV300 & Bolero have stared to show age, especially with the new generation models being launched by other brands which are superior and of global standards.

Can Mahindra showcase interesting SUVs & fight out the SUV battle with global brands? Also, the E2O Plus is finding difficult to attract buyers. So does promoting electric cars makes sense for the brand?
