Written by Parichay Malvankar

Well, firstly, kudos to Steelbird for launching this product, and at such an affordable price tag. The SBA-1 HF connected helmet has been launched in India at a price of INR 2,589. That is super cheap. This helmet will allow you to listen to music, get google assistance and also attend calls on the go.

Also, the highlight of this is that the Steelbird SBA-1 HF is a battery less helmet. So no need to charge any of the parts to get the connected features. To explain in simple terms, consider that this helmet has an inbuilt headphone, which allows standard functionality.

This helmet uses an AUX input to connect to all smartphones. While riding, the SBA-1 HF (Here HF stands for Hands Free) will allow riders to answer or disconnect calls, get google assistance, and also listen to music. Since the microphone is single directional, there will be basic noise cancellation when the other party is listening to you. The headphones do not plug inside you ears, so you can still have ambient noises heard inside the lid.

This helmet is also waterproof with IP5 rating.

The SBA-1 HF gets an anti-scratch visor and quick release mechanism as well. It will be sold in red, black and white colours.
