Stealthy Hero MotoCorp Xtreme 160R teased, coming soon

Written by AnantaSaranNayak

Hero MotorCorp officially teases the upcoming Xtreme 160R Stealth edition. From the initial impression, it looks like the motorcycle will feature matte-black paint. There appear no changes to the mechanicals. In fact, Hero will also retain the full-LED lighting and the digital instrument cluster. Other than this, the teaser does not reveal many details. The overall silhouette remains the same as the stock trim. But there are some subtle matte black edition inserts at various parts. These are headlight masks, front fenders, fuel tank extensions, and rear panels. There’s a high chance that Hero will equip the motorcycle with connectivity features, as present in the competition models.

Mechanical Specification

There’s no change in the mechanical department whatsoever. This Stealth Edition, too, will get the 163cc, single-cylinder air-cooled engine. The performance figure is rated at 15 BHP of power and 14 Nm, which can propel the motorcycle from 0 to 60 in under 4.7 seconds. The bike comes with a five-speed gearbox optimised for city and highway conditions.

The motorcycle comes with a 12-litre fuel tank, which is adequate for short weekend trips. The seat height of 790mm matches the average Indian rider’s comfort perfectly. The dual disc braking set up at the front and rear does provide the extra edge in decreasing the braking distance. In addition to this, the chassis is supported by a 37mm Showa telescopic fork at the front and a mono-shock at the rear.

Other Details

The stock trim of the motorcycle comes with three colour options – red, white and blue. The matte black paint of this Stealth edition will surely stand out from the crowd. Currently, the competition list for the Hero Xtreme 160R is quite comprehensive. The list includes the likes of Suzuki Gixxer, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Yamaha FZ S and Bajaj Pulsar NS160. But the aggressive pricing does help in attracting quite a healthy number of customers. The official prices for the Stealth Edition are not yet out. But, we understand Hero will price it at a slight premium than the stock variant.
