Honda has unveiled a limited edition version of its popular retro themed CB1300. These limited edition models will be launched in the Japanese market. Only 710 units will be produced.
What’s new on the Honda CB1300 special edition
Honda is celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the CB1300. To celebrate the success of this iconic motorcycle brand, the Japanese bike maker has launched the Special Edition. Back in 1992, when this name plate made its debut, it was called as the Project Big-1.
For the Special Edition, Honda has offered a few new updates. The bike now gets gold painted rims and golden accents on the body work. The fuel tank now gets a 3D logo to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the brand.
Features of the Honda CB1300 special edition
The Honda CB1300 is powered by a 1300cc water-cooled four-cylinder, 4-stroke, 16-valve DOHC engine. This engine produces around 111 BHP of power and 112 Nm of torque. The engine is mated with a 6-speed gearbox while the engine vents its gases into a classic 4-into-1 exhaust. The CB1300 comes with throttle-by-wire, Cruise Control, Sport, Standard and Rain riding modes, assist & slipper clutch, Honda selectable torque control and a bi-directional Quickshifter as a genuine accessory.
Other features of this version of the CB1300 include Ohlins suspension on both sides and dual radially-mounted Brembo four-piston callipers on the front wheel.
Availability of the Honda CB1300 special edition
The bike is likely to sell out in a few days, or in fact even less than that thanks to its limited edition nature. The bike will be launched only in the Japanese market, which might disappoint Honda fans across other markets.
That said, Honda currently does not have any plans to introduce the CB1300 in the Indian market. The current big bike portfolio includes the CRF1100 Africa Twin, CBR1000RR, CB1000R, CBR 650R and the Honda H’ness CB350.
