Skoda teases design of upcoming compact SUV for India

Skoda has teased the design of the upcoming compact SUV for the Indian market. In this second teaser, the brand reveals how the upcoming compact SUV will look from the rear. The teaser reveals its minimalist light signatures as well as the muscular haunches. In addition to this, the brand has also revealed some key details of the compact SUVs debut.

Skoda has revealed that the compact SUV project is on track. At the starting of 2024, the brand had announced that it will be launching a new product in the Indian market and half way through the year, the brand has now released its second teaser. In addition to this, the Brand Director of Skoda Auto India, Petr Janeba also revealed that the company is rigorously testing the compact SUV on Indian roads fine tuning the car for our roads and varied climate.

European Tech on Indian Roads

Skoda also revealed that the company is “continuously enhancing the finer nuances” along with quality local supplier ramp ups and production preparations to keep competences high. Thanks to this, the brand revealed, will allow the company to democratise European technology on Indian roads. Also, Skoda revealed that even though the footprint of the compact SUV is small, as it is based on the MQB A0 IN platform which underpins the Kushaq, Slavia, Taigun and Virtus, the compact SUV will be spacious on the inside.

Design

Skoda reveals that the compact SUV will come with the brand’s Modern Solid design language and get muscular exteriors and sharp LED light signatures. Also, SUV will have a high ground clearance and enough space in the wheel arches to tackle uneven roads. The Skoda compact SUV will also have a hexagonal pattern on the sides and rear of the car.
