Škoda announces new generation Superb & Kodiaq models

Big news from Skoda. Finally, we get a taste of the next-generation Skoda Superb and Kodiaq, via the officially released teaser from Skoda. The fourth modern iteration of Skoda’s flagship model will once again come in hatchback and wagon body styles. This is unlike the mechanically similar Volkswagen Passat, which will only come with a longer roof. Both the Superb and Passat will have their manufacturing in Bratislava, Slovakia.

Until now, the Superb had been manufactured in the Czech Republic at the Kvasiny plant. This is where the Kodiaq will continue to take shape for its second generation. These new large models from Skoda will come with plug-in hybrid powertrains alongside gasoline and diesel engines with mild-hybrid technology. The VW Group hints at “modern, efficient” ICEs. But it has not revealed any details.

Skoda Takes A Giant Step Forward

2024 Skoda Superb teasers Skoda mentions it will organize separate events for both cars. Superb will aim to set standards in terms of comfort and space. Meanwhile, the Kodiaq will take technology, safety, and versatility to the next level. Skoda mentioned that it expects to start with the deliveries to customers by the end of the year or early 2024. Chances are high that these are the final generations of the models in form of an ICE. Skoda is very much moving its way towards electric mobility. In fact, it expects electric cars to account for 70 per cent of its total sales by 2030.

What Do We Know So Far?

The shadowy images released during the world premiere this fall are quite mystical. But did notice that the Superb hatchback has a little spoiler on the tailgate. The LED signature at the front is same for both two models. But on the Kodiaq it extends downward. With the updated version, Skoda will aim big thus boosting its sales.
