Skoda reveals Epiq electric concept, new entry-level SUV

Skoda has revealed the design concept of the new Epic electric Compact-SUV. Skoda reveals that the new entry level SUV will with a price tag of around EUR 25,000 which is approximately INR 25,000/-. The Skoda Epiq nomenclature is derived from the ancient Greek word “epos”. This stands for “word” or “verse”, but also for “tale” or “poem”. Furthermore, in Skoda’s nomenclature the the E stands for its battery-electric models, while the Q represents the brand’s SUV family.

Also, the new Skoda Epiq will flow the new Modern Solid design language. According to the Czech brand the Epiq will integrate powerful, functional and authentic design and technology, along with the latest digital experience and assistance features.

Skoda Epiq Electric Concept – Design

The Skoda Epiq SUV features a Tech-Deck Face in glossy black incorporating the new Skoda word mark on its muscular bonnet. The new Tech-Deck Face features the Skoda grille flanked by bifunctional, T-shaped LED elements for the DRL and turn signals. The headlamps feature a cubist-inspired design and come with Matrix LED technology. Also, the front bumper comes with a Unique Dark Chrome on the bumper.

On the sides, the Skoda Epiq features a sweeping tornado line emphasising its broad shoulders. The SUV also comes with aerodynamic wheels and a sloping roof line merging into the roof spoiler optimising the SUVs aero efficiency. The rear also comes with a robust bumper and Skoda lettering in Unique Dark Chrome. The Epiq also gets a bright Moon White paint theme accented by Flashy Orange detailing.

Skoda Epiq Electric Concept – Interiors

On the inside, the Skoda Epiq also comes with a minimalist Modern Solid interior with sustainable, durable and practical materials. The Skoda Epiq comes with a free-floating centre console and a two-spoke steering wheel. The steering wheel also features Skoda word mark, physical buttons haptic scroll wheels and Flashy Orange accents to control key functions. On the interiors, the SUV also features Simply Clever compartments.

Skoda Epiq Electric Concept – Powertrain and Size

Skoda has revealed that the battery-electric city SUV crossover will come with a maximum electric range of more than 400 kilometres on a single charge. Also, the 4.1-metre SUV will offer 490-litres of luggage space. More on the power unit will be revealed in the near future.
