Skoda with their India 2.0 project is ready for a product offensive. The brand will be revealing multiple new cars and concepts at the 2020 Auto Expo here in India, and the one that will launch first will be the Vision IN SUV which has seen multiple details being shared. Skoda has now released a teaser video of this Vision IN SUV which will slot in a segment to rival the likes of Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta and Nissan Kicks. The Vision IN will make a world premiere in the coming weeks and has been specifically developed keeping in mind the Indian car buyers requirements.

Although a Compact SUV in Skoda’s portfolio, this is not a sub-4 metre SUV. The teaser video and hence, the concept will take the liberty of being a little flamboyant with crystalline elements in the logo and twin ribs, which will be illuminated as well in the grille section. Even the dashboard will have a few crystalline elements to allow for a more upmarket feel. Rest assured, none of this would be a part of the standard kit in the car which hits the showrooms in the months to come.

Other features which can be accounted for from the teaser video include a new steering wheel with SKODA lettering, new digital speedometer cluster, floating touchscreen infotainment system, LED DRLs with LED headlamps, LED tail lamps, SOS button hinting at connected car features with built-in sim card and paddle shifts on automatic variants. The seats will get leather upholstery with contrast stitching and the interior will also get plenty of knurled texture all around.

The Skoda Vision IN is going to be the first car built on the MQB A0 IN platform with a modular transverse toolkit. This chassis has been developed for India and will spawn a host of different car body styles across segments, and even Volkswagen cars will make use of this in the future.
