Skoda Auto India announces the addition of an all-new dealership in Northern India. With the introduction of this facility in Guwahati, Skoda will look into adding more customers from the North Eastern markets. Under the purview of the ‘INDIA 2.0’ initiative, Skoda has set up a target to have at least twice as many sales and service touchpoints in 2022 as compared to today.

Details Of The New Dealership

The new dealership located at Dag No 1165N, Patta No 428N, Village No 1, VIP Road, Opp Jonaki Nagar, Hengrabari, Kamrup is among the prime locations in Guwahati. Spread over an area of 12,316 sq feet, which includes the workshop area of 5,920 sq feet and the showroom area of 5,606 sq. feet. The servicing facility has been equipped with 5 bays, all the latest equipment and tools as per Skoda’s regulations and guidelines. The showroom has been built as per Skoda Auto’s design language and latest CI. Skoda Kushaq

It is now certain that the Skoda Kushaq will make its debut in a world premiere on 18th March 2021. Skoda Vision IN, a concept showcased in the 15th edition of the Auto Expo 2020 in Delhi, will act as the blueprint for the Kushaq. Though the official images are yet out, we have multiple high-quality images of the car in full camouflaged mode. It looks certain that the front fascia will have the trademark butterfly grille integrated with the Skoda logo. The heavily localised MQB-A0-IN developed especially for the Indian market will underpin the Kushaq. The SUV will come with 2 engine options, 1.0-litre Turbocharged Stratified Injection (TSI) and a 1.5-litre Turbocharged Stratified Injection petrol motor. Three gearboxes will be on offer – a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed automatic and a 7-speed DSG.

The Future

Skoda looks to take the India market with the utmost importance. If all goes well, Skoda will likely launch 4 cars in 2021 including the Kushaq. The other three cars which are on the cards include the fourth-generation Skoda Octavia, the Skoda Kodiaq and a new C-segment sedan.
