Škoda has introduced a new variant of the popular Kushaq SUV. The new Škoda Kushaq Matte Edition is a limited edition with only 500 units planned. This new variant is priced from INR 16.19 lakh to INR 19.39 lakh (ex-showroom).
What’s new in the Škoda Kushaq Matte Edition?
The Kushaq now comes with a matte edition pack on this variant. It comes with a carbon steel exterior paint finished in a matte texture. Further, there is gloss black trim on door handles, ORVMs and other elements like the grille.
Customers wanting to pick up the Matte Edition can choose from both the 1.0-litre and the 1.5-litre TSI engines. Both manual and automatic transmission options are available.
Coming to the pricing, this new Matte Edition comes at a premium of INR 40,000 over the respective standard variants. This move follows closely on the heels of the success of the Kushaq Monte Carlo Edition. The Czech carmaker is constantly updating its portfolio and offering new variants and limited editions to keep the line-up fresh.
Škoda Kushaq Matte Edition Powertrain Details
The 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine is rated at 113 BHP and 178 Nm. Meanwhile the 1.5-litre turbo petrol develops 148 BHP and 250 Nm. Coming to the gearbox options, 1.0 unit is offered with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The larger 1.5-litre one comes with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
Furthermore, both engines are now E20 compliant as part of the updated emission norms. The update will also ensure that the power plants are compliant with the new Real Driving Emission norms (RDE) and offer a 7 percent improved fuel economy than before.
