Skoda launches Kushaq Style NSR trim at INR 15.09 lakh

Written by AnantaSaranNayak

Skoda has added another variant to its much-in-demand Kushaq. The latest addition is the Style NSR trim, which will sit below the top-spec Style trim. In terms of features, this new trim misses out on a sunroof, rain-sensing wiper and auto-dimming IRVM. The new variant costs INR 15.09 lakh ex-showroom. This trim is perfect for those looking to not spend big on the fully loaded Style trim. The listed price is INR 20,000, lower than the Style trim. The Style NSR is available with the 1.0 TSI engine matched to a 6-speed manual gearbox. This move could prove pivotal in keeping the production going amidst the going semi-conductor chip shortage.

Features Reshuffle Amidst The Chips Shortage

This is not the first time Skoda has introduced a new trim for the SUV. Very recently, the carmaker introduced Active Peace and Ambition Classic variants. These variants were available without the touchscreen infotainment system and the automatic climate control panel. In another such feature reshuffle, Skoda India replaced the 10-inch infotainment system with an 8-inch unit. This was for both Kushaq and Slavia.

All this is to keep up with the demand and adjust to the ongoing chip shortage issue in the global market. Active Peace trim is no longer on sale, although customers can get the Ambition Classic trim. Skoda had confirmed earlier that some of the missing features will be available in the future when the supply of the chips gets back to the normal level. All this will be done by Skoda authorized service centre with no void to warranty. Customers will have to pay the price of the fitment they want to install.

Other Updates

Skoda India is racking up a significant number of sales. With the newly added products, Slavia and Kushaq have received an overwhelmingly positive response, which is also visible in the sales charts. Skoda’s new customer-centric approach is also resonating perfectly with the customers. All this adds up perfectly to make Skoda a desirable brand in the country.
