Skoda India has increased the prices of the Kushaq SUV for the second time this year. The company joins the list of other companies that have hiked the prices of their cars. Skoda recently introduced the Ambition Classic variant, which slots between Active and Ambition variants. Now, the company has introduced another new variant – Active Peace.
Skoda Kushaq – Active Peace Variant
The Active Peace is now the new base model. The new Active Peace variant costs INR 9.99 lakh ex-showroom. The previous base model, Active, gets a price hike of INR 30,000. Hence, the new base Active Peace variant is INR 1.3 lakh more expensive than the previous Active variant.
The variant misses out on the infotainment system as well as speakers. However, the variant continues to get steering mounted audio controls. Once the stock of the infotainment systems arrives, Skoda will give owners an option to install them.
Skoda Kushaq – Variant Revisions and Price Hikes
The Skoda Kushaq gets two new variants – Active Peace and Ambition Classic. The Active Peace is the new base variant and is available only with a manual gearbox. While the Ambition Classic sits between the Active and Ambition variants. Unlike the Active Peace, the Ambition Classic is available with a manual and also an automatic gearbox. Also, the Kushaq will no longer be available in the Style variant with a manual gearbox and six airbags.
Depending on the variant, the price hike ranges between INR 30,000 and INR 70,000. The Style variant with 1.5-litre TSI and manual gearbox gets the highest price hike of INR 70,000. The next highest hike of INR 60,000 is for the top-end Style 1.5 TSI DSG with six airbags. The Style variant with a manual and Ambition variant with an automatic gearbox get a price hike of INR 40,000. The Active variant receives an INR 20,000 hike in price. The variant with the lowest price hike is the Ambition variant with a manual gearbox with an INR 20,000 increase.
The Style variant with an automatic gearbox and the Style 1.5 TSI DSG with two airbags variants do not see any changes to their price.
Skoda Kushaq – New Prices
After the price hikes, the Skoda Kushaq range starts at INR 9.99 lakh ex-showroom. The manual variants range from INR 9.99 lakh to INR 17.19 lakh ex-showroom. On the other hand, prices for the automatic variants range from INR 14.09 lakh and INR 18.79 lakh ex-showroom.
