Skoda could be planning to introduce updated Skoda Kushaq and Slavia in India. These updates are likely to be in the features departments especially in terms of safety. In addition to this, the brand is also likely to introduce special editions of the SUV and sedan in India to itself updated.
According to reports, the Skoda Kushaq and Slavia are likely to come with new ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) features. Midsize SUVs such as the Honda Elevate, Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos now come with ADAS. In addition to this, the Honda City and Hyundai Verna which are the competitors also come with ADAS. In this department Skoda is currently behind as both the Kushaq and Slavia do not offer ADAS on its models.
ADAS on all MQB-A0-IN Cars
Skoda plans to roll out the updates on the entire MQB-A0-IN platform which underpins the Kushaq and Slavia. In addition to this, the MQB-A0-IN platform will also underpin Skoda’s upcoming compact-SUV. This is also likely to come with ADAS features allowing to brand to not only differentiate its products in terms of driving dynamics but also become highly competitive.
New Tech
The brand is also likely to introduce special edition models of the Kushaq and Slavia which may include the ADAS updates. Furthermore, reports also reveal that the brand also plans to add features such as a 360-degree camera to the models to further improve its safety quotient. Recently, Skoda also displayed the Kushaq Explorer edition model which showcased 360-degree camera and a heads-up-display.
When Will Skoda’s Updated Kushaq and Slavia Arrive?
However, reports on when the new ADAS equipped products are likely to arrive in the Indian market are still scarce. But we speculate that the Kushaq and Slavia with the updates could arrive before the launch of the new compact-SUV. The Skoda Compact-SUV is scheduled for launch in March 2025.
