Looks like Skoda is continuing the testing of the all-electric Enyaq iV SUV. New images of the car have surfaced online, which could mean that Skoda is planning to launch the car in India soon.

Skoda Enyaq iV testing in India

This time around, a black test mule of the Enyaq iV was spotted topping up its batteries  at an electric car charger near Pune.

Earlier this year, Skoda had imported some units of the Enyaq iV in India for the purposes of testing and evaluation. One of these was the Enyaq iV 80x, which was the top-spec version of the all-electric SUV. Internationally it comes equipped with a 77 kWh battery and a dual motor all-wheel-drive configuration. In terms of power numbers, the dual motors put out 265 HP and have a 0-100 km/h time of 6.9 seconds.

The car is also compatible with 125 kW DC fast charging. In terms of usable range, the WLTP cycle reports a 513 km range on a single charge. If this car is launched in India, it would be amongst the longest-range EVs on sale here in our country.

Launch timeline of the Skoda Enyaq iV

Expected to come as a completely built unit (CBU), the Skoda Enyaq could go on sale in the second half of 2023. The SUV is based on the modular MEB platform and Skoda could also launch it in a two-wheel-drive version to keep the price in check.

In terms of features, the India-spec car could be based on the Lounge Trim. This comes with Skoda’s Anodised Cross Decor, a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment unit and an all-digital instrument cluster. For the interior, Skoda could offer a leather-wrapped steering wheel along with a leather and microfibre upholstery with contrast stitching. For the wheels, the Czech carmaker could equip the SUV with the 19-inch Proteus alloy wheels.
