Skoda India announces its sales performance for September 2021. The carmaker has sold 3,027 units for the given period; meanwhile, the figure for September 2020 stood at 1,312 units. This results in year-over-year growth of 131 per cent. The recently launched Kushaq is selling in healthy numbers, thus resulting in a growing sales figure. Meanwhile, Superb, Octavia and Rapid continue to contribute their part. Under the new ‘India 2.0’ strategy, Skoda India now has its presence in over 100+ cities and towns across the country. This will help Skoda to make its mark in new regions, thus expand its customer base.

Skoda Kushaq – The New King In The Market?

Skoda’s journey after the launch of Kushaq has been quite a roller coaster ride. There were numerous reports of the engine getting cut-off and power loss from the initial few batches of the SUV. And multiple customers had reported the triggering of EPC Error Light on their car’s MID. But now, as per Zac Hollis, the issue is resolved. Skoda India has replaced the existing fuel pump with a more superior and robust unit.

The SUVs continue to maintain high demand in the market. Kushaq is a car that will attract customers looking for an SUV that is fun to drive and comes with a superior build quality. Having said that, this does not mean Kushaq is a slouch in other areas. In fact, in terms of features and tech, Kushaq is pretty much on par with its rivals. From the exterior outlook, customers having a taste for simplicity will find the Kushaq a much better looking car than its rivals. With the launch of Volkswagen Taigun, we wait to see how both the SUVs stack up against their rivals in terms of sales figures.
