You’ll soon be able to try out the Simple One. The company has just announced the test ride schedule for its electric scooter. The EV maker also mentioned that the test ride phase will initially start in 13 cities across India. This event will help the interested customers to get a hands-on experience and learn more about the product.
Electric vehicles being a new concept for most customers, will also attract a lot of doubts and queries. Thus, events like these are the perfect platform to learn more about the product. The test rides will begin on the 20th of July in Bangalore. This will be followed by Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune, Panaji and other cities. Simple Energy has also plans to extend this test ride service to more cities in the upcoming months.
Deliveries Delayed For Simple One
With the rising number of mishaps in the electric scooter segment, Simple took a conscious call to defer the deliveries. Furthermore, the company will undergo safety standards and ensure that the delivered products are in their best conditions. Interested customers can also pre-book the electric scooter by paying the booking amount of INR 1,947 on Simple Energy’s website. There will be two trims to choose from. The base trim with a real-world riding range of 203 km (up to 236 km in ideal conditions) gets a price tag of INR 1,09,999 (ex-showroom). Meanwhile, the higher-spec trim that also gets an additional battery pack that enhances the riding range to 300 km is available at INR 1,44,999 (ex-showroom).
More Products In Line
Simple Energy mentioned that they are currently working on more products. The key area of focus is now on R&D. Simple Energy has already commissioned a second plant in Dharmapuri, Tamil Nadu, to keep up with the increasing demand for EVs. The plant will have a total area of 600 acres and a capacity of 12.5 million units annually. Alongside the current manufacturing facility located at Hosur, Tamil Nadu and the second one in line, the company will become the largest electric two-wheeler manufacturer in the world.
