Simple Energy Dot One electric scooter launched at INR 99,999

Electric vehicle start-up, Simple Energy, announced the launch of the Dot One electric scooter in India. The Simple Energy Dot One electric scooter comes with a starting price tag of INR 99,999 ex-showroom, Bangalore. Furthermore, the introductory price offer is specifically for pre-booked Simple One customers from Bangalore. Also, it is important to note that this offer is limited only till the end of inventory.

Simple Energy Dot One – Colours and Availability

The Dot One electric scooter will be available in – Namma Red, Brazen Black, Grace White, and Azure Blue. In addition to this, the brand is also offering the Dot One scooter with LightX and BrazenX colour options. Customers also get a 750W charger with the Dot One electric scooter. Deliveries of the Dot One electric scooter will commence in Bangalore followed by other cities in a phased manner, revealed the brand.

In addition to this, Simple Energy also reveals that it will announce the launch price for new customers in January 2024. Expect a slight increase in prices when the brand reveals the price of the Dot One electric scooter next year. Simple Energy has not yet revealed which other markets will see the launch of the Dot One electric scooter in the later stages. However, the brand aims to cater to a diverse demography across India.

Simple Energy Dot One – Technical Specifications

Powering the Simple Energy Dot One electric scooter is an 8.5 kW electric motor. The electric motor claims to deliver 72 Nm of torque. The electric scooter also gets a 3.7 kWh battery pack that claims an IDC range of 160 km and a certified range of 151 kms. The brand claims that the scooter can achieve a top speed of 105 km per hour. Simple Energy also claims that the Dot One EV is capable of accelerating from 0 to 40 kmph in 2.77 seconds.

Recharging using a home charger takes 3 hours 47 minutes form 0-80% state of charge. While fast charging from 0-80% takes place at the rate of 1.5km/min. The scooter also gets 12-inch wheels with tyres specially designed to maximise its on-road range. The EV also comes with disc brakes and a combined braking system.
