Sany, a Chinese equipment giant, has officially launched India’s first hybrid mining dump truck, the SKT130S. The hybrid powertrain of the truck is believed to be the most efficient in the segment. Read all the details below.

Sany India launches SKT130S Hybrid Truck – All details
SANY is a Chinese construction equipment giant that is globally known for its efficient and capable machinery. In a revolutionary move in the Indian mining equipment segment, the company has launched its hybrid dump truck, the SKT130S.
As per the officials, this model is rated to save 20-25% of fuel as compared to the conventional diesel-engine rivals. Additionally, the use of a hybrid powertrain reduces carbon emissions considerably.
Propelling the SKT130S is a 925 kW (approximately 1,240 bhp) and 3,200 Nm producing drivetrain that delivers the power to all the wheels. With this capability, it can haul a payload of up to 100 tons and 61 cubic meter heapbed capacity.
Moreover, it comes loaded with an intelligent control unit, a navigation system for operational monitoring through a 10-inch digital screen, Falling Object Protective Structure (FOPS), and Roll-Over Protective Structure (ROPS).
Sany is based out of Pune, and the SKT130S will be locally assembled and distributed through 42 dealerships across India. The company entered India in 2012 after spending a huge investment of Rs 1,000 crore. At present, it has more than 300 touch points nationwide for support.
