The Final Round Of 12th Edition Volkswagen Polo Championship

The race conditions with a sunny day, clear skies, steady track temperature and a strong breeze ensured full action. In the qualifying, Anmol Singh Sahil grabbed the pole position ahead of Oshan Kothadiya and Sai Sanjay. As the lights turned green, Anmol made an emphatic launch and led the pack. Meanwhile, Oshan Kothadiya, who started the race in the second position, maintained his position and finished P2. Sandeep completed the race securing the P3, thus completing the podium places.

For the second race, it followed the reverse grid pattern with Bangladesh’s Hossain Ishayet starting from the pole position. Behind him were Pune’s Shreyas Dhimate and Bangladesh’s Avik Anwar. The start of the second race was quite dramatic as Avik overtook both the leaders and commanded the race. There was a small safety car incident as Shreyas collided with Aditya, who then collided with Ritesh.

This resulted in both Aditya and Ritesh retiring from the race. The race further continued with the safety car for two laps. Avik still maintained his lead and eventually saw the chequered flag first. The 2nd and 3rd position was secured by Sourav and Pratik, respectively. In the second round as well, Sandeep rose six places and completed the race in 4th position.

The race completed with Anmol taking a double victory for himself in the final round of the championship. A close fight between Ocean and Sai Sanjay ended with Oshan ahead of Sanjay.
