Japanese premium car brand Toyota may be planning to launch its MPV, the Toyota Rush here in India. The Toyota Rush was developed for the ASEAN countries and has been rumoured to come to India since the past few years now. The Toyota Rush has seen an upgrade at the end of 2017 and is now in its second generation avatar. The Toyota Rush is sold in over 100 countries and is available in a 5-seater and 7-seater variants, but only the 7-seater car is expected to come to the Indian markets.
The Toyota Rush in India is expected to be powered by a 1.5-litre, Dual VVT-i, 4-cylinder petrol engine producing 105 PS of power @ 6000 RPM and 136 Nm of torque @ 4200 RPM connected to a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic gearbox. The Toyota Rush measures in at 4,435mm in length, 1,695mm in width and 1,705mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,685mm and 220mm of ground clearance.
The Toyota rush is expected to be launched by the year 2021 in India and is expected to be priced between INR 10 lakh to 14 lakh ex-showroom.
The Toyota Rush will compete with likes of Honda BR-V, Hyundai Creta, Nissan Kicks and Toyota is also expected to launch the Toyota badged Vitara Brezza in 2020 for customers who want an economical 5-seater option compact-SUV
