Royal Enfield has a slew of motorcycle up for debut in India as well as the overseas markets. According to a media report, the brand is currently testing a new iteration of the 650 Twin abroad, which is likely to be the Bullet 650. The spied model is likely to be under road test in Europe. Now, sources claim that the Bullet 650 will come with a single piece seat and a different rear fender as compared to the Classic 650 which is a similar motorcycle. However, most underpinnings and the design silhouette is likely to be shared by both the Bullet and the Classic.

Royal Enfield – Bullet 650

So, why is there the need of two similar looking motorcycles. Both the Classic and Bullet brand names have separate fan base. Also, the Bullet nameplate is more successful in tier 2 and tier 3 markets, where the buyers associate the name with its heritage. This would enable buyers to upgrade to the 650cc motorcycle from a 350cc without losing out on the Bullet nameplate. In addition to this, Royal Enfield is also likely to offer the Classic 650 with slightly more equipment as compared to the Bullet 650 to differentiate between the two.

The engine produces 46.4 Bhp of power and 52.3 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox. The Bullet 650 is also likely to come with a right side up front suspension and twin rear suspension units. The motorcycle is also likely to come with twin pea shooter style exhausts, and chrome accents on the engine. Braking hardware is likely to features disc brakes on both ends with a dual channel ABS.
