It was assumed that Royal Enfield would launch its much anticipated classic 650 at Motoverse 2024; however, Royal Enfield has decided to postpone the launch to 2025. It seems that RE wants to focus on its newly launched Goan-themed 350 cc bike, the Goan Classic 350. 350 cc bikes are more in demand in the Indian market as compared to the 650 cc due to a more economic-orientated customer base rather than power-orientated. Lets see what both RE Goan Classic 350 and RE classic 650 offer to the customers.
Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350:
Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 is a Bobber style bike that comes with a 349 cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled engine that produces the power of 20.2 bhp and a torque of 27 Nm. The motorcycle has a 5-speed gearbox along with a kerb weight of 197 kg and a seat height of 750 mm. It offers a ground clearance of 170 mm and comes with tubeless spoke wheels. Further, in the suspension area, it gets a telescopic front fork with 130mm travel and preload adjustable rear shock absorbers with 105.3mm travel.
Royal Enfield Classic 650:
The classic 650 has a 647.95 cc, parallel twin engine that generates the power of 46.39 bhp at 7250 rpm and a torque of 52.3 Nm at 5650 rpm. It comes with a 6-speed gearbox and has a top speed of 140 kmph. When it comes to fuel tank capacity, it offers 14.8 litres. With the kerb weight of 243 kg and seat height of 800 mm, it gets 43 mm of telescopic front fork and twin shock absorber at rear, offering a ground clearance of 154 mm. It also comes with a dual-channel ABS and disc brakes at both front and rear.
