Royal Enfield has just released a teaser of the Super Meteor. The bike is expected to be launched soon. The bike maker has shared a small teaser of the rear of the bike on the Youtube platform. An official unveiling date has been revealed as well.

As expected, Royal Enfield will unveil the Super Meteor 650 at the 2022 EICMA on 8th November at 2022 in Italy. While this is a sure shot unveiling at the event, the Royal Enfield could also surprise us by showcasing some concepts. The Royal Enfield Super Meteor will be the 3rd bike amongst the 650cc line-up.

The cruiser is expected to cater to a large market that doesn’t have many offerings at the moment. After the success of the Interceptor 650, Royal Enfield is looking to expand its portfolio in the highly profitable higher segment category. We can expect the Super Meteor to be priced slightly higher than the Interceptor.

Highlight of the Super Meteor

The Super Meteor gets an upside-down (USD) type front shock absorber. This will make it one of the first Royal Enfield bikes to feature a USD shock absorber. However, the rear suspension setup is identical to other 650cc bikes from the stable – it will get a twin rear shock absorber. A lot of accessories are also expected to be offered with the bike.

Engine and Transmission of Super Meteor

The new cruiser will carry forward the same 648cc parallel-twin air/oil-cooled engine that Royal Enfield uses on the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650. This engine develops a peak power of 47 BHP and a max torque of 52 Nm. A 6-speed gearbox will be paired with the engine.

India Launch of the Super Meteor

Royal Enfield could showcase the bike at this year’s rider mania between 18-20 November 2022.
