Earlier this year in February, Royal Enfield registered the Constellation word mark. And now the latest teaser reveals a partial image of a new bike against the backdrop of a starlit sky. It seems like the stars have aligned and we could see Royal Enfield use ‘Constellation’ as the nameplate. Although these same teaser words also point to the name Super Meteor. Interestingly, Royal Enfield has been testing multiple 650cc bikes. This includes a cruiser, a 650cc Classic, a 650cc bobber, and a scrambler.
What’S Expected From Royal Enfield Constellation?
In fact, a faired 650cc bike was also spotted recently, which could be launched as Conti GT 650R. Earlier it was believed that the first new 650cc bikes would likely be the Super Meteor 650. However, with the latest teaser, the Constellation name seems more probable now.
Design Highlights
New 650cc Constellation will continue with the signature retro styling, as apparent with other Royal Enfield bikes. As revealed in spy shots, the motorcycle seems to have a strong street presence. Some of the key highlights include a round headlamp and rear-view mirrors, a curvy fuel tank, new 3D badging and graphics, an offset instrument cluster, twin exhausts, a broad rear fender, and a circular tail lamp.
It is fairly evident that the motorcycle will have some weight. Thus, this should allow it to cruise effortlessly across wide open roads. This is perfect for long journeys with its ergonomically positioned handlebar and centrally mounted foot pegs.
The motorcycle also has a scooped rider seat section, which would provide adequate lumbar support. It will also help lower the centre of gravity, thus ensuring improved control and handling. It will also allow even shorter users to manoeuvre the bike easily. Traditionally, Royal Enfield bikes are not tech-heavy. But we could see things change for the Constellation. Tripper navigation could come as a standard or as an optional feature. As for the BlueTooth connectivity, we wait to see if Constellation will get a dedicated Bluetooth-based connectivity platform.
